NHS launches 'You and Your General Practice'

As of the 1st of October, the NHS has launched a new set of guidelines called You and Your General Practice. These outline what patients can expect from their GP, and how to best use their services.
For example, 'You and Your General Practice' (YYGP) describes GP opening hours, how to contact your GP and what support you can ask for. It also encourages patients to be on time, be prepared, and avoid wasted appointments by cancelling early if they can no longer attend.
All GP practices will have a link to the YYGP information on their practice website home page. YYGP also sets out how patients and or their representatives can provide feedback or raise concerns about their GP practice.
You can click here to read the new guidelines. If you would prefer to read them in a different language than English, you can find a list of 20 different language options at the bottom of the page.
If you have feedback on the YYGP guidelines, you can let the NHS know what you think via this online survey. The NHS cannot respond directly to feedback given via the online survey. If you require a response to your feedback, you can find a list of other contacts on the same page.
If you want to give feedback or raise a concern you can also ask to speak to your practice manager or if preferred, you can also contact us in confidence and anonymously.
