65 new recruits to join Teesside battle against COVID-19 pressures

A recent ‘call to arms’ by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust (NTH NHS FT) has not disappointed say health bosses.

The Trust says a campaign they launched just four weeks ago, calling for Teesside populations to ‘choose the NHS’ as their next employer has led to the appointment of 65 ‘team support workers’.

Chief Nurse, Lindsey Robertson said of the success ‘we are utterly overwhelmed by the success of this recruitment campaign, but we never doubted the support of our Teesside communities. These roles are so very important in ensuring our current staff are supported to do their jobs during the ongoing pandemic. These roles have emphasised the needs for ‘an extra pair of hands’ and other back to basics compassionate caring skills the NHS is so well renowned for across the world.’
