New British Sign Language (BSL) Videos to Support Inclusive Diabetes Care

Produced in collaboration with Deaf community members and healthcare partners, these short films are available in British sign Language (BSL) with subtitles and audio options.
They cover key topics including 'What is diabetes?' and 'Why are diabetes health checks important?' These videos respond directly to feedback from people who told Diabetes UK that written materials alone often don't meet their communication needs.
By offering content in BSL, Diabetes UK is making diabetes information more accessible, inclusive, and easier to engage with, especially for those who may face barriers to care.
They encourage people to watch, use, and share these resources far and wide to help improve diabetes care for everyone.

The films are also on the Learning Zone on the Diabetes UK website, a free, interactive platform designed to help people manage their diabetes with tailored information and tools.
