Pharmacy First Services in Stockton-on-Tees - have your say!

We would like to hear your thoughts on the new Pharmacy First service which was launched on 31st January 2024, if the service is working well or what issues you may be experiencing in local pharmacies across Stockton-on-Tees.

Recently, the Government and the NHS introduced Pharmacy First, which offers people the chance to get treatment for seven common conditions from pharmacies instead of GPs. 

People can self-refer or be referred from the 111 service or their GP. Pharmacists can also initiate consultations on the spot. 

The purpose of this engagement is to understand the views and experiences of people accessing Pharmacy First services in Stockton-on-Tees.

All information that is provided is anonymous – protecting the people who share their valuable experiences and insight with the aim to support the improvement of service delivery.

What will happen next?

Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees will produce an overarching report that includes the voices of service users. This information will be shared with those with the power to make change happen.
